Draft desp.
Dear Sir Edward
I now enclose an amended copy of the
Notes of the Piracy meeting which was held here
on the 13th of January. I am sorry that this has
been somewhat delayed, but I am afraid that I have
had to put it aside for more urgent work.
I also enclose copies of two draft
despatches to Hong Kong and I should be much obliged
if you would let me know whether you wish to suggest
any amendments. I am also sending copies to
the representatives of the Admiralty, Foreign Office,
War Office and Board of Trade who attended the
meeting.
When I get their replies, it is proposed
to refer the drafts officially to the Departments
concerned, inviting their concurrence.
It is also proposed to write to the
SIR R. E. STUBBS, K. C.M.G.,
Admiralty
